A Nice Break By Drsnooker

I found it earlier this morning. Very good! The best shot was from green to red (next to the black). The margin of error was very slim to leave the cue ball just below straight so I can stun run-through without running into the black ball.
I missed the last red because I was concerned about leaving myself perfect on the pink to move the last two red into a better position and clear the table. Oh well.
I ordered a 10Mpixel camera that I'm gonna try mounting above the table to record my games and learn from my mistakes. I already noticed that I still move my head a little bit....

Fantastic play! I've spent the last 9 months Down Under trying to learn snooker and billiards on these tables and all that misery has made me realize even more how hard what you've done on this video really is!

I was just wondering if maybe on that last red you potted whether you should have played with follow to get top side of the blue and then you could have played a small cannon onto the three reds. The way you played it I don't think you could have really got a nice angle on the black unless you really forced it in, and then the pot became more missable. Any way, nice break :)

Well.... snooker is very much a game of adjustments (since I'm not a pro) and thus play the positions available. I originally thought playing on the red to the left of the pink in the yellow pocket after the green (open up the pink and the two reds near it) but left the perfect angle to take the red next to the black and open up the black spot. I was once again trying to get on that red after the second black but ended up straight so all I had was the stun run through to the tough red along the cushion. Once again I left myself a straight black so I play for the red by the side cushion into the side pocket and leaving myself indeed on the blue to split the pack. The cue ball bounces a little far, so the centre pocket shot is out and I have to take it long. Playing to the blue ball would leave the cueball near the side cushion, making it a lot harder to split the reds, so I opt for a hard stun screw to the black thinking I could probably get on a red to one of the baulk pockets. I did, but missed the shot. Next would have been the pink with a cannon on the red left of it and perhaps run the table. Alas, it wasn't meant to be.
Hope that helps explaining my decision making process
