I thought that I would share some photos of 2 tad tribute cues that I am building. Both cues will have the same design in the butt section. Birdseye forearms. white with green spec linen wrap. matching 20 slot tad style ringwork at the joint and shafts. SS joint with 5/16-18 pin. 2 shafts and ivory ferrules. More than likely I will be taking these cues to the derby.

Thanks for looking!!

they look great!!! I was wondering do you put a identifying mark on them so someone dosent accidentally think they are buying a Tad in a few years when they how somewear and age? It's not a big deal, i'm not putting you on the spot, pointing fingers. I was just curious thats all. I sure do like them. You picked good ones to re create.

happy new year

eric :)

thanks on the first 2 i did some differant hting like longer length and 14 thread pin this ones are 57 lomg and 18 thread

when i do them i do 14 pin and some different joint rings. i was asked to copy the 20 slot rings and said no. i do not like a huge goofy signature on a cue

in the future i will not do any orange green veneered. im switching to a holly baby blue maroon black setup so there can me no question

I'd like to see that set up.

Tad Tribute Cues

It's been three days since this thread was started.
Shouldn't these cues be done by now?
I guess with the holidays and everything it's understandable.

Happy New Year
Nice work, anxious to see the finished cues

i believe its good ethics to do something to the cue to show it isnt the "real deal" to protect furure owners, but can still be a top level cue anyways that commands big $$$. I saw a reputiable cue broker with a fancy Gus a couple years back that wasnt a Gus. I told him to send it to Barry and showed him why, To the best of my knowlege he didnt sell it. It was over $20K-and was most likely built before or shortly after Gus's passing thus it looked old enough to be the real thing,

I agree, it shouldnt take more than 3 hours to build any cue, whats the matter here?:p;)

I know when I call Barry for a loaded 8pt he gets it in the Fed-X the same day aas long as I call him by 10 AM his time.

Great looking cues Lee. Can't wait to see the finished product. Thanks for letting us get a peek. Tony

I think it should be like ordering Domino's Pizza new garlic crust hand tossed.
Tip the driver 6-bucks and in 30-minutes you've got a new Szam.
