A question for Joe Tucker

Or anyone else using Joe's Guaranteed Improvement book. Should I try to do all 10 drills in one setting or does it really matter? It's not that I'm lazy its just that my back limits me a little. Sometimes I can play for 4 hours straight and sometimes I can play for 12 + hours.

Currently I am doing drills 1-5 on mondays, wedensday, and fridays. and drills 6-10 on Tuesdays, thursdays and saturdays. It works for me but I'm not sure what you had in mind when you came up with this.

Anyone else doing Joe's drills? How did you work it?

I used to pick three to practice, then play straight pool for a while, then practice 10 ball, and then warm down with eight-ball until I started banging balls around.

I don't have time to even play at all right now.

I say once you get a feel for all of them pick your worst 3 and focus there first. I always push the 1,2&3 rail drills to everyone first and then the 10B rail rotational drill is an absolute must have for all players, if you can score high and understand what you're doing there you're on your way to playing pool the correct way.

Drills 1,2,7&9 are more 8B & 14.1 oriented to be used when you're trying to improve your 14.1.
Well Drill 1 is for all the time actually.

We all have different areas to work on but I'm a firm believer in learning to move the cb as much as possible while improving and then backing down when you don't need it, thats why I push those 4 drills in the 1st paragraph.

Break out of your comfort zone and build a bigger one!

ok I'll give that a try once I've worked the whole routine for a few more weeks. I gotta admit, the 1,2,3 rail position drills have been giving me more trouble than I thought they would but I'm getting better at it. I love the way you set this up Joe, keeping track of my score really puts things in perspective.

BTW, drill one is now what i use for the first 10 min of my warm up routine.
