A question regarding etiquette

There's some really good "one-liners" in this thread...and flatulation is always funny! 
To me, whether it's a fun game, league, tournament or whatever, I'm going to sit there and stay still during the time when the other person is down on the shot. Someone else mentioned golf...it'd be the same thing. It isn't the person in someone's line of sight (golf or pool) but rather the movement (oftentimes sudden an purposeful) during the shot or setup that's poor etiquette to me.

I think either option is ok. If you are going to move, do it before he steps into the shot. Otherwise just sit still. REALLY still.

Keep in mind that unless you are playing on an isolated table all the time then there is constant movement and distractions going all around anyway. One would hope that pretty much every player has been able to train themselves at this point to tune all that out.
I personally have no issue if you are in my line of sight moving, walking by, getting a drink or what have you. I would not even notice it to begin with, even if you are standing over the pocket. My sight line / aim line has nothing to do with you, it is between me and that damn pocket that better be catching my ball.
Understanding that not everyone has that, I do try to keep still but I am not going inconvenience myself for your sake and get up from an assign seating arrangement.

No way I'm getting up every time an opponent shoots a ball towards my end of the table. I remain perfectly still because that's what I'd expect him to do if it were my turn at the table.
