A Reminder About This Forum.

I have gone to alot of forums that are intended to talk about a specific topic. Nine out of ten of these forums end up spinning out of control and are nothing more than a bunch of guys trying to be funny. I understand the need for freedom of expression, but ungoverned forums become useless.

AZ is the best forum I have ever frequented on any subject. Threads like the Scotty Townsend rumor is useless hogwash. If guys like playboy get banned everyone should buy the moderator a beer.

Have fun, but keep the forum useful.

Looks to me like the regulars have brought that thread around to not only be on topic, but entertaining as well.
 
It IS a funny thread. That some moron came on here and called Mike a "Mod"?!?! And the WWF-like smack talk was a nice change of pace.
Plus, the stories were out and out FUNNY. I personally enjoyed reading thru it. Probably wasn't for everyone. Not every thread is though.
 
i find it ironic that you start a thread about usefullness of topics created by individuals while at the same time, you yourself are guilty of the action in which you deem as "hogwash." how much of a contribution does your thread about the most posts give to AZ and pool? seems to me, coming from an objective point-of-view, that your thread is no more important then playboys...


i'm not trying to pick a fight here, and i'm sure someone is going to rebutt my statements with something along the lines of "your new here, shut up" but nonetheless so, lets not get high and mighty here. just an observation...

I think the prefered method to handle it is for all the serious members to ignore all threads and posts by people like "playboy" and they will go away of their own accord. It is the fools who interact with them that keep them around, attention is what they want. I think banning should be a very last resort used for people who are genuinely mental ill, like Fast Larry, and will keep posting despite being totally ignored.
However, as I've said many times, Mike can do as he wishes; he has the key to the front door.
 
I thought it was very entertaining.It went from crazy to a great couple of stories.Thats why you have to read every thread on here,cause you never know what you might be missing:D VERY ADDICTING.My girlfriend thinks im nuts ;)

So true. We lost Playboy and gained the Scotty Townsend thread. What a trade!
 
I suggest reading the first few posts. If it doesn't appeal to you, don't read the rest. There are some post I don't even bother with because the title doesn't get me interested. Then, I may go back later and find it interesting.
