A Special Thank You

I would like to take a moment and give a very special show of thanks to a few people who made my championship run this past weekend for the ACUI National title possible.

First off I'd like to say thank you to Javier and Carlos Chirino of Good Time Billiards in Miami Florida. They have been especially kind to me since last year and brought me in as their house pro. Since their grand opening a year ago they've made leaps and bounds in the Miami Pool scene and really are at the top of the heap as far as pool rooms go in the area. It's a family owned business run by players for players, who happen to be exceptional people to boot.

I also would like to send a thank you to Royce and Doc from OB Cues. These guys really did a great job in making sure I had suitable equipment for the tournament. After having a near crisis emergency with my only playing shaft, they pulled a shaft from their inventory, re-sized it down to 12.5 and second day aired it to me. I was able to play with it for a couple days and be comfortable with the shaft in time for the tournament. Their service and quality of product speaks for itself, but in case there was any question I just wanted to make sure everyone knew. I always support American made products and those guys are without question at the top of the heap.

And finally I just wanted to send a quick thank you to Ted Harris of Ted Harris Custom Cue & Repair. Ted's ever diligent efforts to accommodate me at odd hours of the night is greatly appreciated. If you're ever in the Hollywood area and need quality work done, feel free to see the man.

Hope everyone has a great day and God Bless!

Sincerely,

Raymond Linares

It's just the way I am! It's never a one man job. There's always a group supporting and pushing people forward. These are just a few of the important people who've helped me, so I wouldn't feel right about not saying something.

Thanks for the kind words as well. I appreciate the support very much.

You have a great attitude and you are a good investment for sponsors- as well as- a great investment into the world of pool. Congratulations - it is great to see that all of your hard work, dedication, and determination is paying off!

Yes sir!

Yes sir. I was fortunate enough to win last year's event as well. This makes it the second in a row. A very satisfying feeling considering I didn't play pool the first half of the year :/! The school semester was very demanding.

Although thanks to some heavy cram sessions and support from the aforementioned people, I was able to prepare adequately for this event.

Thanks for the support!

That notwithstanding...congrats. Lots of us were following the event!

That makes 3 colidge champs on the Board, I do believe?

Having said that, arent you a repeat victor, Mr.?!

Thank you

Thank you Dave.

I always appreciate and value your input. Hearing this from you is very humbling and very much appreciated. I only hope to keep on the journey to consistent and never ending improvement.

All the best my friend.

Raymond

I've had the privilege of playing Raymond these past two years at ACUI Nationals. I can say without a doubt that he has given me the opportunity to play some of the most exciting matches of my pool career, and he's a class act head and shoulders above the rest.

I didn't have a chance to buy you a congratulatory drink after the tournament. Congrats on the repeat win Raymundo, and I hope to be reading about you in the future on here
