A suggestion for the Wanted/For Sale Forum

This is just a suggestion and might have been suggested in the past but here goes.

As we all know because the Wanted/For Sale Forum is so popular ads fall down the list rather quickly and folks are having to bump their ad up every 48 hours to be noticed. Would it be possible or make sense to divide the forum up into 4 sections. Like, one for Accessories, one for cases, one for cues under $1000 and one for cues over $1000. This would not only help with ads falling down the list so fast it would also help the users locate what they're looking for more easily and for the moderators it might make it easier to moderate. I know you can use the search option, but it's sometimes a pain to use. Just a thought.

What about a cue priced at $1,000?
JK, it's a good idea.

I like this idea, but first...........................

.......let's do away with some of the unused/un-needed sub-forums that are no longer relevant or used. "Ask the Pros" still has a sub-forum for Ginky (God rest his soul) for cryin'-out-loud. How many other Pros are coming onto that section and actually answering any questions (check it out)??? "Memories of Steve Mizerak" (God rest his soul too) has been up overly long. The Seminole Pro Tour still has a sub-forum in the Tournament Talk section. There are TWO cue review sub-forums, one in the Product Review section and one in the Cues section.

Need I go on? I think the website as a whole needs to be revamped and updated.

Also, I think an "In Memorium" section is in order. This would be where the Mizerak and Ginky threads would go (aside from the many other pool people we have lost over the years, both famous and members of this forum).

Just a thought.

I agree, it would be easier. Perhaps even a separate tables for sale. they don't appear nearly as often as anything else, but they sure don't' qualify as an accessory :D

Very Good Idea !

And maybe if we can get more $$ MONEY $$ supporters so they can start taking all the old stuff off that is not being used anymore as per Maniac suggests.

I think you should be able to pay like five bux or something to keep your ad on the front page for like five days. I used to be a division 1 paintball player and the buy sell forum on pbnation.com has a program like this and its very beneficial for both host and members. Mods should check into this. Guarantee people would use this feature and AZ would make a little cash in the process

Good idea for AZ to make a little too.

Our local Used section operates like that. Free ads but for a small fee, you get better exposure depending on what option you choose.

It's been discussed several times but never implemented. I think there should be custom and production forums, as well as one for cases.

I'd like a forum for 'rest of the world' traders as well, as it's very annoying and time consuming to wade through hundreds of threads and posts that say "will only ship in USA" at the bottom.

But it's all probably too much trouble.

That's to bad. I don't think it would be to much trouble, I think it's a matter of taking the time to do it. For the $1000 cues how about a forum that says, up to a $1000 cues. That ought to do it. Who's in charge of this rodeo anyway?
