Maybe "that guy" needs a vacation for a little while. A little attitude adjustment never hurt anyone.

By the way, Dan...what is the cue in your avatar?....I always admire it when you post.
John Barton could you look into the product or refund to Charlie D, it has been over 2 years. I had put a lot of thought in doing business with you. Charlie D PS. Have sent text yesterday, and many emails with proof of payment
, and have email with you acknowledging the mess up
A thread is missing....... Check out a Milk Carton tomorrow morning.
Yes of course. I hate it when we forget the little things like replacement sleeves for a different brand of case. My sincere apologies.
Thanks.
I don't think those banks are a fair test. The guy puts the balls on hole reinforcers that are placed in spots that match up with the aim points he is demonstrating. It would be more interesting to see the two balls placed more randomly.
Well you can position them the same way. I PROMISE you that I spent two hours at Stan's house trying to trap him by putting up random shots to find some that gave him fits.
I assure you that I will BET HIGH on Stan doing randomly placed shots against any person on planet earth who can breathe, stand up and hold a pool cue. If any player can do BETTER than him in a pure shot making contest I have yet to see it.
No one is barred and it does not matter how many world titles they have.
It was an aiming discussion thread. Mike Howerton has specifically asked that aiming discussion (particularly extensive aiming discussion) only be done in the aiming forum he created specifically for it and is not allowed in the main forum (and has even specifically told you directly and you have gone round and round with him about it) because they are a very hot button issue that usually turn into flame wars. You more than literally anyone else on this site are aware of his "rule" about it because you were the biggest offender and had many run ins with him about it. You were even reminded about his feelings/rule on the topic in the very same thread you are playing dumb about. You also know that he has deleted or moved those threads in the recent past just about every time he found them and knew it was expected with this one.
Pretty obvious that this thread is just a thinly (way too thinly) veiled attempt to push Mike's buttons and maybe hope to raise a little public sentiment against him as a bit of "revenge" since you disagree so strongly with his position and are more affected by it than anyone as the biggest offender. Way too transparent and obvious with your attempt though.
And I just went to all the trouble to duplicate that guy's 5 shot video. I spent half my friggin' day off reading that thread and now it's gone. I thought there was some interesting stuff there including things I wanted to look into further. I didn't see any problems with the discussion, other than a hijacking of the original post, but what else is new?
Here is my non CTE version for what its worth...

Also, John, the original guy missed more than one shot. He missed the 4th shot multiple times, and also missed the 5th.
Well we're kind of back where we started in a way. I agree that his videos are impressive. But is he that good because he is a professional who has played forever, or because of CTE? If he says he couldn't do these shots before he learned CTE then that is worth something.
John you're back! Good to see you sir.
As I told you, you are free to complain and ask that threads be moved whenever it suits you. I personally don't care if it was moved to the aiming section I just don't want the good discussion to be lost. Myself, Colin Colenso, Stan Shuffett, and Dan White and others were having a pretty good discussion. Colin posted some great thoughtful comments as did others and that shouldn't be lost.
As for some rule about not talking about aiming in the main forum I am not aware of that. Can you point to such a rule? And if one exists then the thread should have been moved as soon as it was created because it was a POLL about aiming system use.
Lastly, the thread was fine. No one was out of line and we were all getting along. You posted plenty with your views on aiming until you decided that it should be moved. Good to see some things never change.![]()

G-Damn Dan! Quit "raking" the balls with you GB shafts!!!![]()

lol, Tim. I'm more careful that it appears. I made all my mistakes on my first cue, a production Palmer from the 80's. I'd lean it up against the corner of a drink table only to find an indentation in the shaft there, I'd swipe balls and bang into them.
My shafts are as smooth as silk, and after this many years of raking balls if I were causing damage the shafts would resemble chew toys by now. I think they must be pretty dense because I've never had a ding in the shaft that I can recall. I never roll balls onto the table if the cue is laying there and I never touch the forearm, once I learned that my hands were starting to erode the finish near the joint.
Those are some pretty sporty butt sleeves you've got there. Who designed them?![]()
