I have been reading AzBilliards for a few years now. I am an above average pool player who after many years of searching has found the holy grail of aiming in billiards and it's master instructor Ron Vitello. I had read a few posts about him and decided to go to New York from Texas and spend the weekend with him to see for myself what kind of knowledge he had. Over the weekend, he taught me his 90/90 system, how to use the diamonds for shape, an inside english banking system, 5 different diamond systems, (he has 10, but there was only so much time), and gave me a copy of his book.
Because we had covered so much in the three days I was in New York,(it was like trying to get a drink of water from a fire hose), I wanted to wait a little while to practice what he taught me, but I couldn't wait any longer. That being said, his methods are so easy to learn and so easy to implement that my game has gone to a totally different level. At the end of the weekend, we spent the last hour playing each other 9-ball, so he could walk me through the match and make sure I was using his systems correctly. He broke and ran two tables before I got a shot and in the third game, he played safe on me twice where I didn't have an open shot and had to kick at the ball.
When I returned home, I couldn't wait to play with a few regulars from my local pool hall and using Ron's system, I am now having to spot them 9-6 in one pocket. I have played two 9-ball tournaments since I got back from New York and placed in the money both times with strong fields. I can't begin to explain how happy I am to have met with Ron Vitello and have him share with me his vast knowledge of the game.
See you at the final table,
