This occurred during last year's VNEA state tournament.

Player broke while his opponent's cue was on the table, multiple balls hit the cuestick. It was ruled a foul on the breaker; no argument from anyone. I assume that was the correct ruling???

I'm no Bob Jewett, but jeez, IMO that is some form of unsportsmanlike conduct.

Once I was told why a certain player placed his cue with the butt end resting on the end rail. He said it was to keep his cue clean and void of the dirt and chalk that is embedded in the cloth. ?????????

It takes all kinds to make the world go round. I'm on the same page with you on this.

I've heard this nonsense too Joey. How dirty will your cue get laying it on the table? PUHLEZE!

And if you feel that way, then you should just leave it in a cue rest away from the table. You know, like one of those devices that holds your cue and attaches to a small table.

You won't worry too much about a little table lint on your cue, especially after it rolls over the edge and gets a ding the size of Texas in it.
