Its a movie so who cares?

Buy it an get it wrapped is all i can say, black with white specks is probably the most common on the planet.:D

I had one for a while

A had one a long time ago, and it had the white with black
speckles. Also, unless I wanted to order one, I had no choice
but to take one with a diamond shaped inlay in the points.
If you notice, the one in the movie did not have inlays in the
points.

Back then, I was so used to a soft Meucci hit (I had an E-6 that
had the phenolic joint), that I didn't use the Joss, and ended up
getting rid of it. It's a nice looking cue though, it was just too
stiff for me at the time. With a brand new cue without any
scratches, I find myself feeling different, and being so careful
not to scratch it, it starts to affect my game a little.

From Wiki and Reference.com...

"Cruise performed most of the trick shots himself using a Joss N-7 custom-made to resemble a George Balabushka cue as it was supposed to be in the film."

So, the answer is that it is the Joss N-7 cue, but that it was made to look like a Balabushka. So, if you want that cue, buy the N-7. If you want the cue it was made to look like, buy the Balabushka.

Why the fark they didn't just use a Balabushka cue pisses me off to this day. Just another part of my education in how much the world sucks, I guess. Curse you, Hollywood!!

lets see why not buy the real balabushka?...cause it cost many thousands of dollars and the joss n-7 cost $550...that is why i would get the joss...on the other hand if i had that kind of money i would buy the real balabushka:) :)

Well, hey, are we talking about an actual cue made by George Balabushka or a cue that bears the Balabushka name? Cause today you can still get cues that are replicas of Balabushka cues, for say $500 or so at lots of retailers and online.

Because Sigel was the pool advisor on the movie and he was a player rep for Joss at the time. Thats what I would guess

On top of that, he was one of Dans apprentices. ;)
To answer the original question, you will not find that cue in circulation, he changes the cue every year or so.
