I was just wonderin if u can jump ball with n ob1. I heard they were really stiff but ive never played with 1 n was just curious. Thanks

I've have long been an excellent jumper. I have never been able to jump with my OB-1.
If you want to jump better than you ever thought possible, give me call. The Mystick Jumping Jack is by far the best Ive ever used.

Im sure with enough stroke you could do it. With earl as an example of jumping with a full cue. However, other than jumping over the edge of a ball in limited situations, I'm nor sure why you would want too. With all the good jump cue options out there it would be pretty risky in most situations IMO However, OB1 users seem pretty happy with the shafts when used in normal play
Well y im askin i wanna switch 2 just usin 1 cue 4 everything. Breakin, Jumpin everything u no. I probably wont be jumpin with it but was just curious. Imean would it hold up 2 breakin.
Forget about jumping with them. I have one. Useless for jumping, at least with a normal tip. Now, if you were to install a phenolic tip, or a White Diamond, or something like that, and remove the butt, and slip in a 1/4 r 5/16" balsa dowel, I suppose it could jump. But why on earth would you want to play with that kind of tip for normal use?

No i dont wanna do anything like that. I jus wanna start using 1 cue but i like have a predator shaft n i no it wont jump a ball. I just wann no if the ob1 can really stand up 4 breakin. I shouldnt have said anything about jumpin shouldve just said breaking. Sorry every1
You can't jump with lightweight front aftermarket shafts.
They are made to deflect OFF the cueball before the cueball does.
When trapping the ball down the slate ( which is what you do when jumping ) you want a stiff front shaft and a hard ferrule/tip.

I wouldn't recommend it. The wood ferrule is extremely thin and will not take a lot of abuse. It was designed for low front end mass & a very soft hit.
If you are looking for a "do it all" shaft....then I'd suggest a traditional shaft with a bulletproof ferrule such as Ivorine 4 and a SuperPro laminated tip. That will come as close as you can get for a break/jump/play shaft.

I prefer to break with my playing cue and have exploded 2 OB-1 ferrules already. OB-1 has replaced both at no charge, but each time they are returned with stock tips and it cost me $30 to have a sniper re-installed. I now break with my Huebler with a phenolic.

Why would you want to jump with the OB-1???
It is not stiff like you say it is. I feel that it is very soft in fact.
I use a phenolic tip for both jumping and breaking and once you have used one you can feel the difference and you will never go back.
