Dear All , today , I have a big problem about my CueMonster CNC

when I taper shaft from left to right , router bit will vibrate every
1 or 2 inch... but my router bit is new and sharp

and when I taper butt from left to right , shaking not happen

so , I use keyboard B test Y axis , I found when I press "B" 10 times ,
machine will vibrate ... but when I press F ... vibrate not happen...

what happen about my CueMonster CNC? and how can I fix it?

thanks

Ask the maker

 I would suggest you may want to ask the fine folks at Unique Products. After all they built it.

I clean and change my three router ... the same...

so.. I just ask does someone has same issue?

(if you are Uniqueinc CNC user?)

Have you tried to release the pressure off the nut and blow it out with compressed air and lightly wipe down the lead screw with some wd40..

Remove the batery from the laptop and see if that helps.
(bad battery = power issue)
Are you using the deskNC taper setup (press K) or the inlay setup?

Lower "Z" axis as low as it will go then raise up .1" adjust router cutter manualy for proper height by moving the router up or down in the mount.

It looks as if you have made quite an investment in Unique products.
Just curious why you wouldn't contact them and ask for help?
(maybe you have?)

yes... this is what I think...

and I try to fix it yesterday, use follow methods...

1.clean CNC controler (inside black box)
2.use K to change inlay mode
3.adjust screw

but... still happen...

so , I will try other methods today...

I know his location is far away but Unique has email. I was just curious why he would come here first instead of going to the people who made it. That's all...;-) I know Jim uses these machines day in and day out when he's not building them and putting them together. My thoughts are who else would know more about this machine than the people who build it? Besides if it were just the cost of a $20 phone call to get me back up and running most of time, I would do back flips off my Logan 's head stock and land in a full splits position while clapping the national anthem.

<~~~like I say....maybe he already has asked them..............

post here ... because

Jim will read this post...(he is AZer also)

and I think maybe this situation everyone may meet

Jim is very kind and help me very much

today , I will use WD-40 clean all my machine

I know Jim is a little under the weather right now- it may be a couple of days until he browses AZB. I'd suggest sending him an email directly if you have a problem.

I am alive barely - This flu bug is kicking my butt for sure. Adonisy, check your PM please. Jim

thanks All , thanks Jim
hope you better

lead screw with some wd40 has good result...

sometimes I use some oil with my lead screw.... so ...

wd40 is better use...

silicone oil works very well for nylon on steel lubrication
when you get stuttering from a stepper motor there is a voltage problem with your computer lap tops are not good to be used with cnc control software my sugustion is a desk top pc with nothing on it at all and no connection to the internet also there could be a wood chip or dust in your keyboard but the laptop is definitly not a good ides for a cnc machine.
poeple do use them but i would not recomend doing so i use pentuim e machines they seem to work the best................Lee

This issue was not a computer issue, it was a lubrication issue. We run such tight clearances that even a little surface rust on the solid rods will make the steppers stutter, making you think it is a stepper motor, when actually it is a clearance issue. Thanks to everyone for all of their input though.

Does the gib need adjusting????
sounds like motors are to small that should not be happening
and laptops are not designed to run cnc controllers properly
thats not just my thought but also art at mach 3 also and hes a pretty sharp cookie ..........
