thenuke...Ummm, I'm pretty sure the Sands tournaments only ended just a few years ago...not in the 70's. Richie Florence was a great player and promoter who did some amazing tournaments...and all the players got paid.

Richie Florenece headed a group of players back in the 70's that demanded the Sands Casino to double the added monies from 25K to 50K. so you know what happened, no more Sands tourneys, which were held twice a year.

I would pay him for the chicken then negotiate a free dessert and say I would come back in a month and I would expect a glass of wine free with the meal.
Then I would go down the Fish and Chip Shop - and YOU know how good they are,

Oh yeah?? That's cheating --- throwing around the Brits yummy fish and chips as bait. Well how about this:

To continue the analogy --- You walk into the Fish and Chips shop and who's standing there behind the counter wearing a big white apron with arms open ---- The one and only ----- Kevin Trudeau!

The real analogy is.....

The restaurant owner promotes his restaurant to the best of his ability. His plan is to get people to come in and buy hamburgers to eat.

All the hamburgers he's expected to sell, he will take that money and buy the top bracket customers some Filet Mignon but you will get it in a month but you will get that steak.

I will definitely go to that restaurant since I did pay to eat a hamburger already (which is playing the game I love).

If I can't afford to eat (or play) there, then I won't.

It's really simple....the benefits outweigh the cons.
