Besides the enjoyable chat with Pat, and the meaningful expressions of Barry's family (sound quality at the beginning was rough but gets better quickly), Mark Cantrill had some valid points about the cancellation and re-assignment of the World 8Ball event by the WPA.
You'll have to forgive his passion about the subject to a certain extent, because not unlike myself, we can all get a little heated about certain things that are meaningful to us, but I think it's something you need to know. And perhaps it will mean enough for you to take a stance one way or another.

Did the WPA sell-out and place American pool on the back burner for pie-in-the-sky promises? Has a foreign investor decided to take over world pool titles with their checkbook alone? Or is this one big misunderstanding ?

I got a little outspoken on this to say the least. However, I have to call it the way I see it. Jerry and Jim have way more class than I showed tonight and it is only my opinion.
