Accu-fast cushion install help

Hi, I purchased the Accu-fast cushions. The dealer only had 9 foot cushions so I will cut them off to the correct length for my 8' oversized table. I will begin removing the original felt and cushions this weekend, and install the Accu-fast. I have never done this before. Anyone have a procedure for this? Or have any suggestions? The table is an Olhausen Americana. I also ordered some Simonis 860HR cloth from poolfelt.com, but it won't be here for another week yet.

Thanks,
Gary

Rick, thanks. That explained a lot. According to those instructions, I have K55 cushions on the Olhausen. Some guys told me that I had K66 cushions on there, but according to the measurements, they are K55 1/1/4" backside. Anyway, I just took apart one rail. WOW! Those old Championship cushions are hard as a rock! The new Accu-fast cushion fits perfect on there, and measures 1 7/16" height from the slate to the cushion edge. Now I just need to go buy some contact adhesive and finish the other 5 rails!

Are you measuring these with or with out cloth on them?

Both the Championship cushion that I removed and the Accu-fast that I am putting on measure 1 1/4" with no felt. They both fit perfect on the rail. Possibly the rail was modified before I bought the table.

Gary
Gary,
I am talking about the thickness of the rail itself not the cushion or where it is glued. You definately have k66 rails on an Olhausen.

Pat,

Yes, I agree with you. According to the poolfelt.com website, the K55 is 1 1/4" cushions. And that's what I have now. That's what I was trying to say.

Gary

I just measured them again....to be exact, they are both 1 7/32"
Well the accufast is definatly k66 cause they don't make it in the k55 profile. The good news is that both cushions are the same so you are ready to rock n roll.

It can be tough to get an accurate measure, what are you using to get the reading with?

Just a regular stick ruler. But as Pat says, both cushions match, and the Accu-fast fits the rail perfect. I picked up some contact adhesive tonight, so I'm good to go tomorrow on the rest of the rails.

Olhausen does take K66. Since you dry fit the accufast, they match the subrail correctly and
you have a nose height of 1 7/16 I wouldn't be concerned with the old cushions.

Not saying you're guilty but a lot of people measure from the end of a stick ruler and often the measurement is slightly off
because the ruler is off. You'll get better accuracy if you start a measurement at the 1" line of the ruler.

Yes, I measure from the 1" ruler line.
