I just saw the BOGO sale on the Accu-stats website and I want to take advantage of it but I'm a little overwhelmed by all the choices. Would anyone be willing to reccomend some videos or commentators? I prefer to watch rotation games and one pocket.

Get the Hong Kong Challenge Earl vs Efren. 12 videos (VHS dont know how many DVDs).

I can guarantee you will be amazed at the play quality.

I have 300+ pool videos, and I must have watched that race to 120 3 times more than any other single video that was one tape long.

When I get home I'll poke around the computer for some others.

The match between Nick Varner and Mike Sigel where Nick comes back from WAY down after kicking in two balls in one game is a great match.

For One Pocket. Go to the 2004 Derby One Pocket.
Get 2 DVDs. Billy Palmer vs Efren Reyes. D6-1P4D
Billy out of sheer tenacity and will defeats Efren.

In the semi final Efren then meets up with Palmer again.D6-1P6D
Efren is out for revenge.
You can see it in Efrens eyes. He defeats Palmer in a well played game.

These are timeless and are worth for multi viewings

For One-Pocket I'd suggest, for various reasons:

1. Ervolino vs. Sigel. Wiley old dog vs. young lion and it's very good.

http://www.1vshop.com/Accu-Stats/st...&PNAME=Johnny+Ervolino++vs.+Mike+Sigel*+(DVD)

This match is co-commentated by Mathews, Hall, Burge and Freddy Bentivegna comes into the booth during game 8. It's a race to 5 and it goes the full 9 games. You'll love the conversation between the commentators. They talk about Ronnie Allen, Artie Bodendorfer (and why they never played each other), Allen Hopkins and a few others. This match goes 3 hrs..

2. For sheer perfection at the game of One-Pocket you need to see Pagulayan/Reyes at the 2006 DCC. It's the semi-finals match and comes with the Finals included on the DVD. http://www.1vshop.com/Accu-Stats/st...ayan+(Semi's)+&+Reyes/Miller+*+(Finals)+(DVD)

3. For some of the "Old Time" One-Pocket I'd suggest Cornbread/Bugs from the 1991 LOP. http://www.1vshop.com/Accu-Stats/st...9&PNAME=Cornbread+Red+vs.+"Bugs"+Rucker+(DVD) The commentary's not very good but the players make it worthwhile. If you ever spent time around either or both players you'll really appreciate seeing them again.

4. Not much of a match if you're looking for something close but the Fusco/Rempe match from the 1991 LOP Philadelphia Style tourney teaches a lot. It's also commentated by one of the best ever commentators; Fred Bentivegna. Lou Butera helps him out. It's a 3 hr. match. http://www.1vshop.com/Accu-Stats/st...513458&PNAME=Jimmy+Fusco++vs.+Jim+Rempe+(DVD)

5. Another 3 hr. long match ( 9 games) is Daulton/Mizerak from the 1992 LOP lll. This is a very good match to see.http://www.1vshop.com/Accu-Stats/st...on+Daulton+vs.+Steve+Mizerak*+(Finals)++(DVD)

These five matches are a wise choice for spending your money. You get great players, a few great matches and many hours of enjoyment for your cash.

I would've named more but these 5 will start you out.

Great suggestions! I have them all and love the Daulton/Mizerak one since the Cannon was so young then.

Like when Efren two rail banks short rail, long rail point back to his hole. (amazing stuff)

If you like one pocket this year's DCC finals, Efren vs Daulton is good.

Daulton gets ahead 1-0 and Efren goes 8 and out next three games to win his 6th DCC one pocket tournament.

Classic Efren, out thinking everybody in the room. Daulton, the announcers, even me.

It's not included on BOGO offer but Billy and Thorsten do a one pocket match at the All Around Shane Played Darren... While the play was good the best part was Billy spending the entire match reinforcing what the player needed to get done in his inning as Thorsten is not a one pocket player....

I don't know what your 1-pocket level is but if you are new to the game and just starting to learn it it's worth the price of the DVD all day long... I would recommend it for anyone wanting to learn the game.....

Chris

Thanks For the Suggestions

Thanks for the replies I ended up getting Reyes/Pagulayan match and the Rempe/Fusco match. I can't wait to watch them.
