This is the first time in 5 years I haven't gone to the Classic.

I was hoping to read about action and I haven't seen anything discussed other than SVB-Reyes.
Have I missed some threads?

Also AZ posted bank pool brackets and 1st 4 rounds of one pocket and then nothing.
Am I just overlooking it? I'd like to see who beat who on the way to the finals.

Thanks.

I wasn't able to watch much on TAR this time around, but it seemed like whenever I tuned in there was plenty of action going on. Not just on the main table either...several $1000+ sets on several tables. Not sure if overall action was up or down, but it seemed pretty healthy from my POV. SVB of course had the biggest sets with $50k+ in play.

Online coverage was bad at best.

Action (Thanks tar):
SVB vs Efren (SVB)
SVB vs Busty (Busty)
Neils vs Sparky Ferrel (8,9,10) (Neils)
Too many others to discuss, from short stops to gaffe games.

Brumback won the finals against luat.
John Schmidt ran balls like a champ beat Scott frost in the finals.
SVB beat Lee Van in the 9 ball finals.

If you are looking for specifics i had the tar and accustats feed so ask away.

In a non TAR match Monster John beat Billy I in an even 1P race to 10, 10-7 or 10-8.

hondo, There was a lot of good One Pocket action...considering my forum name, it's no surprise that that's where my interest was....unfortunately, no Efren vs. Cliff match-ups like the old days, but here's 3 of the match-ups that did happen - not sure about all details, but all three were for significant $$$....

Gabe played Wiseman - I believe it was 9-7 - I was surprised he gave him that much weight, too much imo, and sure enough Wiseman won.

Chris Gentile played Sparky 2 nights - I heard they broke even the first night, and Chris won the second night.

Billy Incardona played Monster John on 2 different days - don't know how they played or who won.

Appleton was supposed to play Richie Rich with a ball, but it didn't happen.

And there was a lot more a One Pocket action that I can't remember...I saw Ochoa gambling, Surber gambling, etc.

- Ghost

Ps, And in the az/op.org room, for a less serious amount of $$$, myself and John Henderson had 2 days of One Pocket battles, some of it sweated by SJDick, sjm, etc....while playing, we alternately woofed, lied, joked, woofed and lied some more, and complimented each other - it was a lot of fun.
