When did Larry Nevel become this big time gambler? Ive been to the derby every year and have yet to see Larry gamble once? I must be missing something
I watched him beat one of the players on Blackjack's ring game list ...

Can we please stop with the Larry Nevel talk!!!

Larry can get weight from Scott.

I know, pretty soon it's going to be " I stole a candybar from 7-11 yesterday and I felt so bad about it I had to ask Larry for forgiveness"
or " Praise Larry" or " I've been washed in the blood of the Larry" :D :D

I have only heard a few members talk him up that way... So I don't get what you two are griping about...

I saw Larry play with Little John shadow partners against Bobby Pickle. Thats the only gambling I've ever heard or seen him doing.

I heard about him playing T-money aka deathball, and getting ROBBED. But anyone who matches up with deathball gets robbed.

Are you guys kidding more for your money and all the differen't senaros.Danny Harriman(the rifleman) vsShannon the Cannon!! Just to kick off the new yr. after the Derby- mark

none of the above. If you look at the earlier poll about the next action challenge, the ones that got the highest number of votes was for SVB to match up against the top Filipinos. A match-up with Efren got the highest votes but I would prefer him to play against the younger players like Lee Van Corteza, Dennis Orcullo, Alex Pagulayan or even Roberto Gomez.

I heard a lot of Filipinos are coming over for the Derby so why not set-up an action challenge match while they are here in the USA?

My thoughts are...

I think let Shane beat most of America's best, then let him play the world. As far as the other games, those are just some I would like to see.

Fact Scott would play larry 9-8.

This brings to mind a good match...frost vs nevel. Rotating games 9 or 10-ball and 1-hole. Playing races to 5 1-hole and races to 9....9 or 10-ball. 1st to get 2 ahead wins the cash!

Frost wins 1h, Nevel rotation games.

That's why i thought it would be a tough match like they should be...not a runaway like the last match between svb and earl....That match was definitely a nobrainer to whom was going to win....sorry but it's the truth:o

He gambles when he gets games. The only thing is, he doesn't get a lot of games. When I say that people won't play him when asked I'm not lying. Shane has been asked multiple times about playing Larry and he keeps saying no. I thought we had a game setup with Donnie Mills, but Donnie seems to have backed out. Bobby Pickle won't bet enough. Chris Bartrum was supposed to play Larry but that didn't happen for whatever reason. Cliff Joyner turned down a game when we were in Atlanta. Clint McCoullough (one-pocket) and Ryan McCreesh (getting the 8 playing 10-ball) are the only people that have played Larry recently and neither liked it.

Do there's some reasons why you're not seeing Larry in action. There's no fault on this end when it comes to getting him in games. Like I said before, Larry likes money. ;)
