Allen Hopkins on one of his trips to New Orleans to play Earl Heisler some one pocket lamented that he could not play his best pool for longer than 3-4 hours.
I wish that I had the stamina of players who can play for dozens of hours. I just don't have what it takes to play for dozens of hours but I have taken to eating a little something every couple of hours and that seems to let me hold on a little longer.
A visit to the bathroom to wash my hands and cool my face in the water from the lavatory helps and every 8 hours of walking around the pool table there is only one thing that helps my feet and fatigue and I got that tip from OldHasBeen-remove your socks and shoes and soak those tootsies in a couple of flushes on one of those Kohler toilets and you will be good for another few hours of play. You should use a little disinfectant in the toilet before washing your feet but that goes without saying. You will be surprised at how refreshing that can be.
I once played all night and drank about 4-6 pots of coffee over an 10 hour period. I came out a winner when the guy ran out of money but the same guy came back the following week and toasted me as I won no games in over 12 games. Good thing for me, he decided to lower the bet the second time around. I felt poorly for about 2 days with aching feet and all but that was before I knew about rejuvenating the feet.
