I was hanging around with Pooky the other night, and he was telling me a few exercises that he thought made him get to be the player he is (besides the tough competition).
First, break a full rack of balls and run as many as you can without the cue ball hitting a rail. This really develops your touch. Pooky bet I wouldn't get 8, but I got 10 on the first shot. He then did it and ran 11. Depending on if you have a bunch of balls frozen to the rail it might be impossible to completely run out. Anyhow, this is a great exercise.
The next exercise is the time tested, playing the 9 ball ghost.
Just a little info' for you guys trying to get better (aren't we all?).
