Adam cue model and age?

I know that Adam has a line called Adam Classic that has a lot of the same features that this model does.

Question on Newly Acquired Adam Cue

I acquired this Adam cue today. It has never hit a ball. I was told that it was new old stock purchased many years ago by the seller. I am not familiar with the logo on an Adam cue that has the word CLASSIC under the logo. The cue is straight, solid, and it is an eight pointer (Hi/ Low) The...

Doesn’t look like it’s been screwed together many times. Pilot looks pretty new. Cue looks like late 70’s to me. It’s pretty rare to find a cue that old with low mileage. Nice pole

It's 57.5" and the whole cue looks like it wasn't played much. I don't believe it's a classic,that Lion icon is smaller with the word Adam written under it. I agree with the people saying it's late 70s. Thanks
 
I used to own a cue just like that one. I'd guess it is in the 1975-78 range for when it was made.

I had one myself about 1979 I got used,the stainless steel butt and shaft joints are unique to that model I believe. Jayman says it's an "FG" model.
 
Most of the very early Helmstetter blanks I have seen were first class. Very high quality.

I have encountered a few wood pin into wood joint 3C cues from around that time.

I think that Helmstetter used a very similar (almost identical) joint to your cue for a short period of time just before your cue was made. The difference was that the end of the brass pin was ground to a point!

Richard Helmstetter was brought in as a consultant by Ely Calloway. By 1986 he was one of Callaway Golf's chief designers. He helped design the “Big Bertha” driver that came out in the early 90’s. Great golf club. HUGE success. HUGE money maker!
