Adam Savage, Pool Player. Who knew?

Nice. Now I know that the 'Mythbuster' who got drunk and wiped out on a treadmill liked pool. Now I kinda believe him when he says 'I'm cool' sprawled out on the floor.

yea i heard him talk about the history of billiard balls in a podcast, and how the celluloid balls were kind of combustible, lol. he mentioned his pool background. cool guy, i was a fan of mythbusters and i like his youtube channel too

What do we think his speed is based on this video?

I’m going with 550.
I'm sure his peak was higher but it's easy to dip below 550 with a lot of time away from playing regularly. Makes me lean under. That said, he was def north of that when he played 3 cushion cuz I don't know a single sub550 that would ever even mess around with 3C. That game requires the type of table knowledge that make being sub550 next to impossible. That or he's just a masochist....which may fit given he tried to get back up on that treadmill :p

Evidently testing the myth that exercise can sober you up. I wonder what the conclusion was.
Found this interesting, no idea he had been such a pool fan/player.

Great video.
