I have an old Adams cue I got on trade and was thinking of getting it refinished. Is it worth it? Its an Adams a/h 47 "regal".

Its hard to see from the picture but if your cue is heavily carved it might be pricey to have it restored. Ask on the cue makers forum and throw in a few picks of its condition.
The pictures look like some of the old Sampaio cues.

Well I've only got may be 60 bucks into it. Its a beautiful cue. I'm just curious what it's worth.

I've already got a quote on getting it restored. No carvings but a lot of points and inlays.

Thanks guys. I defiantly think it'll be worth getting refinished. I can't wait to see it once it's done

I'd like to recommend Scot Surbine of Proficient Billiards for the job. I have an old '70's Adam that I paid $50 for that I had refinished by him and I was amazed at how well it turned out. I promise you won't be disappointed and price was very reasonable. The refinish he did for me was only $85 but I spent another $40 for a new wrap. I have several more expensive cues but always went back to that old ratty Adam.
Now that old cue looks brand new.

It's "Adam" rather than "Adams".

I've had several older Adam cues and I liked how they played. Wish I had yours!

I have the exact same cue but it is all original. Bought it in 1973 and played straight pool with it but moved to Florida in 77 and quit playing, Just like new with leather wrap. Comes with case and stickers identifying it. What value did you have after the refinish.?

Donny: I have the exact same cue but it is all original. Like new condition. bought in 73 for 250 Played straight pool for 4 years then stopped playing cause I moved to Florida and I am low handicap golfer so cue was put away like new with case. Still interested it getting a cue like this onel I can send you pictures if you like. 20 0z 13 mm;

are correct. Not on this forum regularly as I don't play anymore. Seems like the locals where I live all want to play 8 ball or 9 ball ad neither game interests me.
I am 84 years old and I have had this Adam Cue for over 50 years and it is pristine. Would like to sell it but wont sell it cheaply.
