has anyone ever done it? my fiancee asked me what i wanted to put on our wish list and the only thing that came to mind was a new predator blak cue and that new snazzy 3x5 case they have comming out in january. well, that and home depot gift cards

how can i add something like that to a registry? no one in my family really plays pool, and the pool-playing friends that are comming will in no way beable to swing that price tag.

matching his and hers cues maybe. if your lady plays too..... but gift registry are for WE items not ME items..

just my humble been married too long opinion.... this will have repercussions down the road LOL:eek:

Create an additional wedding registry at Amazon.com. Do your china and flatware and crap at Macy's (or whatever department store you like), then have a second registry at Amazon for your pool cue, X Box and all the gadgets, electronics and other stuff you want. You can email the registry list to whomever you want and your guests can go to Amazon, click on the "Gifts & Wish Lists" tab, enter your name and pull up your wedding registry.

thats brilliant!! thank you sooo much for that idea, now i actually have something to do at work.

I told my fiance that when she gets pregnant were gonna register at best buy? Seriously though id take softshots advice, with all the money your gonna save u can buy the stick yourself.

Adding a pool cue or a case to your wedding registry is both tacky, and conveys the message "I want people to buy things for me!"

A wedding gift registry is suposed to be for items for the couple, and only for items for their HOME. It's main purpose is so that guests can give a gift that will "help" the couple in their transition from single life to married life, and typically consists of items FOR THE HOME like a kitchen items (blender, china, silverware, etc.), or sheet sets, et al. A pool cue or a cue case has no business being part of a wedding gift registry. This isn't your birthday or xmas.

That's like adding a pool cue or a cue case to a baby shower gift registry.

ofcourse there is gonna be household items on the main registry, but this seccondary "fun stuff" registry is gonna be for my friends / family that are very well off that would rather give us a gift instead of cash.

I had a Scruggs on my list but no one could find in at Bed Bath & Beyond !

That would explain though why we got a case of Scrubs, they might of thought thats what we meant!!!

LOL

As for MONEY, as it is never the wrong size, wrong thing, wrong color, wrong style, etc. Than buy your DREAM....

That is absolutely correct. It shows extremely bad taste to add such an item to a wedding registry.

What about if you have a pool table IN YOUR HOME?? Seems like an exception to me.

funny thing is I have been working on building a pool table for my home for about a month now. both my fiancee and myself play, and our first date involved playing pool. mabye i'll just throw on a predator z2 shaft for my old joss so my friends dont feel obligated to get me a bread maker or another toaster oven.
