I have been installing tips for over 15 years , I always used krazy glue I just had been noticing when I retip a ivory ferrule that i had installed a tip
on and remove the tip doest seam like it adheared good like other ferrules
.any suggestions on what I should use or anyone have the same problem

I use 5 minute epoxy. The only tips I've had come off were installed with super glue. Many other people use it with good results.

Maybe your super glue was old?? I have never had a tip come off. Imo 5 minute epoxy for tips is a bad Ideal.

Loctite super gel ultra rubber toughened.
I have never had a tip fall off using this and that includes break and jump cues. Proper preparation is crucial for a lasting tip installation.

I use the same stuff. Just make sure that you don't let it get too old. I buy a new container every month.

OK, I can understand your preference for CA, but why do you think
5 min epoxy is a bad idea?

I've been using 5 minute epoxy for years and have never had a tip pop off. The only tips I've had come off were glued on with CA. Consistently reliable is a good thing. Maybe CA is great and there's something wrong with my acetone wipe down. Epoxy is a pain, but it has been 100% reliable.

5 min epoxy seems to be brittle. Dale you have way more years in then I do. If you say its not a bad ideal I might use 5 min epoxy in a pinch.

Nothing wrong with CA. And it is much more convienient. Only problems
I've ever had with 5 min was when I exceeded the mixing time and it had
started to setup. At that point it is worthless.

don't machine the surface to smooth.
don't finger the surface after you machine it.
