Adjusting OB-2 Taper

I just picked up my new stick on Friday that I ordered with an OB-2. (I'll post some pictures in a little while once I leave work. :cool:) My old shaft is right around 11.3mm with an extender taper. I don't mind one bit that the OB-2 is a bit larger at 11.75, but it has such a stiff taper. My question is how much would it affect its performance if the taper was extended? More importantly, would it void the warranty? I'm interested in hearing your guys' thoughts or experiences on this. Perhaps Royce could chime in. I'm sure they've made some shafts of smaller diameter or extended taper. I've also read of those turning down the OB-1's to 11.75. Thanks in advance guys. :thumbup:
 
Royce posts on here and I'm sure he will let you know what you can & cannot do WRT warranty. He's been a great help to me.

EDIT: BTW, Royce told me the limit for an OB-1 is 12-1/4mm before you get too thin. Oh yeah, I like my OB-2 as is...well I might change the tip to a Kamui MS. My cue is far from the limiting factor in my game.

Good question as I'm considering testing the OB2 but I'm very particular with the taper. I'll be waiting for the responses on this thread. I know that some of these ld shafts will lose their playability if turned to some degree.

Socks I didn't even see you edited your post lol...that thread was very helpful. I was going through pages and pages as it's impossible to search for "OB-1, OB-2" etc. I guess that sums up my questions. Thanks you.
