I'm looking for a good book that has advance drills. Please give me your opinions on the best books out there.

The Monk drills

The Monk has a new league format where you play different skill shots against an opponent using a webcam. You get 52 cards with different skill shots. Some are easy. Some are really hard. They don't look that hard but they are.

The cards are 29.95 by them self. Or if you join the league you get the cards and 3 dvd's for 59.95.

The league just started and we are looking for more players. The drills will only help you get better.

Here's the link.

Pro skill drills volume 1 very challenging. There by Dominic Espisito. Probably have the last name wrong but it's close. It has 54 drills, starts with some basics then gets tougher as you progress up through each drill.

IMHO, advanced drills don't come from books. They come from within the person.

If you are looking for advanced drills, your level of play should be that you know what to work on from how you play. No book will tell you what your weakness are and thats what you need to practice on.

I come up with my own drills based on my past performance in matches. I take note on shots that give me problems, then in practice, set them up over and over. Plus, I come up with variations from those.

Also, at that level, you should know what new things to try. I watch alot of 3 cushion where I play and have had the chance to play a few of the players in 8 ball. I've picked on things that I never would have from just reading.

What kind of drills? Fundamentals/technique drills? Game specific drills? Safety Drills?

IMO, as you get to the advanced level, you probably need to be a little more specific about what you want to work on.
