AE CUE - PRICE REDUCTION *** let's move this today! **** need money today!

***PRICE REDUCTION!***
SOLD PENDING PAYMENT
shipping included in CONUS

Just for fun, I quickly built the website below to showcase my cue.......

View Details & Pics Of Cue RIGHT HERE!

SOLD pending payment...............

Test Hit Shaft Weight = 4.2 0z - Tip Diameter = Roughly 12.7 mm to 12.8 mm - Total Cue Weight = 18.9 Oz
Lightly Used Shaft Weight = 4.1 Oz - Tip Diameter = Roughly 12.7 mm to 12.8 mm Total Cue Weight = 18.8 Oz
Cue Butt Weight = 14.7 Oz

Each shaft appears to be 1/2 inch or roughly 12.7 mm to 12.8 mm in diameter...

This is a huge loss to me, since I paid $900 for the cue, around a month ago brand new....

I accept Paypal from credible buyers with good track records. Pics are below......

The cue was brand new, but I broke down and started playing with it in local tourneys, it's a great hitting cue.

1. "Bubinga" forearm and butt, in a warm brownish color with a orangish hue... "58.5 inches long, from bumper bottom to tip top"

2. Matching Southwest style ring work on collar of both shafts, cue joint collar and lower butt handle

3. Comes with 2 Shafts (1 shaft is brand new, the other has been used for the past 3 weeks, by me in several local tournaments. Unfortunately one used shaft now has a very, very slight ding in the middle part of the shaft that does not affect play at all, and can be taken out by an experienced cue repairman for cheap I am sure, if they know what they are doing.) It also has not been cleaned and has whatever wear that comes from playing hours in tournaments, without cleaning the shaft.

4. Upon purchase of cue I was told the joint collar was made of Ivory, but I'm not an Ivory or cue expert. It's possible that it has a Ivory butt cap too, it looks to be the same material as the joint collar, it has grain, but again, I am not a expert in Ivory or cues. It is possible that what looks to be Ivory is actually Elforin (a material that looks just like Ivory but is more durable?). But I had to say it's Ivory, because that is what the cue dealer who sold it to me said it was, also, incase he lied to me I had to add a disclaimer to protect myself, I am not trying to scam, that's for sure.

5. Genuine black lizard (or some kind of reptile) leather wrap

6. Brass Radial Pin

For what it's worth, I was told it retails for $1200.00, of course that's retail, but still gives a price range to start from, I paid $900.00 for the cue looking to get the best offer I can on the cue..........

Both shafts from tip to end of collar are 29.25 inches long

Cue is "58.5 inches long, from bumper bottom to tip top"

Not sure about weight of cue, but will look into it, I do not have a way to weigh it here at the house.

Balance point is approximately 19.75 inches from the butt of cue.....

Were you not offered $550 for it? This is a really pretty cue and the sale is becoming quite the drama. I will help you out a bit. In 2009 an AE cue won the collector's choice award for best cue of show beating out an incredible Bill Schick cue. $525 is stealing this cue and that it hasn't sold is a partial indicator of where the market is right now. Your pictures are better than some of the cue dealers who use this site to sell their cues. The description is great although I wouldn't personally classify those rings as SW rings. IF I was in the market for a cue I'd have snapped this one up already. So GL with the sale.

bump for a good deal!!! I bought an AE 6 pointer and love it!! these are GREAT PLAYING cues!!! Someone help this poor guy out!!!
I'd offer u $400 but I'd just be trying to resell it!!! G/l with your sale!

Im really suprised this cue is still here. I have seen this cue in person and was present when it was purchased. This is a very nice cue both in looks and playability. Steve is a stand-up seller and this will make someone a great cue for an even better price. Someone steal this before i have to

I think people are being conservative. Plus he had an offer for this amount already per some PM's that were exposed. Maybe the cue is not as desirable as he thinks? Cues are very personal, so what floats one persons boat sinks another persons.

Plus I honestly think people are tired of the sales technique.

Conservative? You mean they are waiting to see how low I will go, maybe thinking or hoping I will go to $400.00?

I bet I would get all kinds of buyers at that price... but it ain't gonna happen.

The ONLY reason this cue is even being offered for such a low price as it is, is because I am low on expendable funds. Once my finds are replinished this cue goes on lock down. I had to like in the first place to come off the money I paid for it... It's not like it's a bad cue or hits bad, I just have other reasons for selling it, primarily need the extra cash flow.

As for exposed pms about a price offer at that rate? I am confused, the offer I was offered was $525.00 I pay paypal fees and I pay shipping, which leaves me with under $500 for cue, which ain't gonna happen.

As for sales technique? I am not sure what that means? Believe me, as you can see, I am no salesman. Just a pool player, trying to sell his pool cue, anyway that I can.

I do appreciate the bump though.....

Conservative means they are holding onto funds. Most of us here have multiple cues. So the ones that might buy another one due to the economic conditions are not going to spend the money frivolously, but instead are going to grab something with potential value. If you cant fire sale it away, why would they buy it? Because they know if they get it and don't like it, then they will have the same problems getting rid of it. (IMHO)

You have the right to refuse any offer, its your cue. However, $500 is better then nothing and a bunch of threads being started over and over. There is even a thread in the main forum regarding how many times you've started threads for this cue.

Let the cue sell itself, the great things will do that. Whether is a cue or a car....

And your are welcome, this is bump number two. Have a good one.

PS good luck with your sale

I have 4-A-E cues, and have owned several more.
Terrific cues, and this is a nice one.
I haven't seen a better deal on an A-E cue.

The economy still has not rebounded concerning custom cues. Also it is really hard to sell any cue besides a Tad without veneers. Just sayin.

Hello,

I am very interested. I will PM you tomorrow afternoon with a definite answer at that price, looks like a steal! That is such a beautiful cue!

Mike

A good idea for bumping threads where you want to convey new information is to change the first line of the post. When the mouse hovers over the thread then the first line is shown. At least this is how it works for me in FF and Chrome.

No matter what the reason it is impolite to post multiple threads selling the same thing. This forum section does move quick and of course everyone wants to be on the front page. So it's best to choose to err on the side of being polite and creatively bump the sale each day or so rather than to create new threads.

My advice for selling this cue would have been to start at the higher price of $1000 and then lowered the price by $50 every 12 hours until it sold. One thing that is important to remember is that not everyone is on az all the time. So give it some time for people to read the thread. Lowering price sales usually result in getting a higher price as someone will cave in because they don't want to lose the item.

Good looking AE

There is no doubt AE cues are very nice and this one looks good! Hope you sell it soon....
