Aiming Systems----How many do you personally

I'm also a user of the HAMBone system. Once in a while, I will change my ideas of what works, but lately have been more focused on creating the resulting path to the pocket - I will visualize the spin and path of the OB and hit it accordingly. Also, I have been playing a little bit with matching(gearing?) english. For banking, I go completely by feel due to the many factors of speed, english, rails, etc.
 
Every time that I shoot a ball on the table I use a aiming system of some sort. Don't know what system it is. A little from here and some from there so every shot is a different system. So my answer is on every shot it is a different system and therefore too many to keep track of.
 
0.5 systems.

Contact point when I'm not entirely comfortable. Most of the time, I don't think about it.

Learned using fractional aiming. Sometimes that's how I perceive the shot, so prehaps we can say 0.75 systems.
 
I use contact point to contact point most of the time. Fractional ball for long shots, edge to edge for stright on shots or extreme cuts and occasionally ghost ball (mainly for shots into the side pockets)

... so I guess four for me.

hm- maybe i posted uncorrectly. After i read DrDave s posting i m for sure using more than the systems/knowledge i shown up,lol.
So i would better say: i use all my experience/knowledge if i am unsure :)
 
I think ever great play use some system, in Freddy "the Beard" Bentivegna Second DVD set Freddy talks about a system his road buddy used that was just one on many system used by people. BTE Freddy "the Beard" Bentivegna DVD are all about Aiming, Banking and Learning to Bank as good as Freddy "the Beard" Bentivegna. I personally own both of Freddy "the Beard" Bentivegna DVD Sets, and IMHO they are keepers.

I find myself regularly using the "ATM" system..(Chase Bank).:wink:

PS..Hu,...Drop in over at 1P.org once in a while, we are having way to much fun over there..

I'll pass by soon. I am a member over there but don't get there too often.

On the topic of this thread I seriously think the worst thing I ever did to my game was trying to learn "the right way" to play. I did pretty good with Poke and Hope.
