I use this method on many shots. I would describe it differently though. I stand behind the cue ball, in line with the blue line to the rail. Noting the exit point on the outside of the cue ball I then turn to face the exact point of the line along the yellow line. Once there I look to parallel shift my cue from the yellow line to the cue ball center. That gives me the ghost ball point. If I need to use top or bottom, that will tend to work. If I need to add stun, I add 40% outside english based on Dr. Dave’s formula.View attachment 730170
