Aiming

I took a lesson with Ron. He's a very generous man with his time. Very patient as well. I'm inherently a skeptic, but his system is sensible and really got me thinking. It takes into account factors that other systems may not.
Thanks again Ron.

Ron is both my friend and coach and the system he teaches defintely works. It is unfortunate that some individuals here mock and belittle him for the sake of attempting to be funny. Ron is a serious student of this game we call pool. He is probably one of the most knowledgable people of this sport you will ever come across. Please! give him the respect he deserves.

Yes and no. Look at it from my point of view. Here is someone offering help that only has 22 posts. I do not know this person and there are plenty of phone scams out there that when you dial the number you get hit with a huge charge on your phone bill. Considering that I'm from Japan the phone bill is going to be big enough as it is. I don't need to take a chance with a scam. If this person replied with an OK then I'd go ahead and foot the bill for it because I am honestly interested in what he would have to say. If there was no reply I would file it under "Possible scammer" and never think about it again.

Nonsense. AT LEAST 500,000 people currently living under the age of 40have hit 2 million balls. How many of them can beat Efren with the 6 out?

Can YOU?

LOL

How many golfers have hit two million balls and can beat tiger with 2 a side. Just because you can't beat the best doesn't mean you can't play. Talent comes into play at some point. I can have every system in the world and if my talent is limited then so is my game

Thanks for reinforcing my point. Nineballman suggeted that extensive practice, in and of itself, leads to not missing very often. As you join me in pointing out, that is not true.

It`s really not worth the time to beg people to let me help them for free...You know Mully you look at my kindness and call it a scam...Well I guess this is how much people want to learn...Thank the Lord there were a few people who were kind to me .....HI DAVE SPIDERMAN...WHO LOVES YA BABY...............RonV

Hi Ron,

You sound an awful lot like Hal. This is the same reason he refuses to come on and write down a step-by-step instruction manual on how to use his systems. At least by forcing people to call he can weed out the ones he wants to teach it to. I don't blame you or him.

Regards,
Koop - will definitely call Ron one of these days

I don't understand why you can't you just apologize for being rude to him instead of digging yourself deeper. If you were worried about a scam, there are better ways to protect yourself than being rude to a new member of the site who is trying to help people in his spare time. :banghead:

Mully,

SCAM?????????????????????????????????? Holy sh*t. You can't be that bloody stupid. CANT BE. With all due respect, you had one of the most knowledgeable instructors on earth offering you phone help for free and you asked if you could call collect. If you don't know who "Ronnie V" is (which is your short-coming), at least show some respect. Considering guys like Mika and Thorsten come to him for info, maybe someone like you can learn a thing or two.

OMFG!!!!!

I think I need to take a time out from this site. I can't believe the moron crap I've been reading lately. The guy can't pay for a $10-$20 phone call that can be life changing but probably blows 100 yen/night doing crap the hard way. Maybe when I come back in a month or two, this nightmare will have ended. I feel like after every simpleton post I wanna go-off.....time out time.

Chill!!
So who is Ronnie V?

Nonsense. That's 50 balls an hour, 40 hours a week for almost 20 years.

Please don't take time off. In fact, I nominate you as a new addition to the team of forum moderators. :grin-square:

unfortunately neither will an aiming system. Some people just have more in born talent. I'm not saying it can't help but it ain't going to make a champ out of you if you don't have what it takes to start with.

You learn systems and anytthing else you can about pool because you love to play and want to get better. I f you are a champ in the end, good, if not well that's good too. Learning and the passion to get better is the key. All Ron is doing is trying to help you get better at a reasonable price, FREE, if you want to try it call him, if not don't knock him until you've tried it.

Thanks again...but I never suggested that aiming by system, feel or voodoo...in and of itself...will lead to maximizing one's potential skill level.

The perfect shape player never has other than simple shots.

The perfect safety player can 3 foul his opponent and win without ever making a ball.

Of course, there is no perfection in any factor of the skill equation. Instead, skill results from the interrelationship of several skill components.

I was simply making the irrefutable point that banging large numbers of balls...in and of itself... will not lead to optimizing aiming skill levels. In fact, some kinds of "practice" are counter-productive and merely serve to "groove flaws."

Jim

Your nonsense is more nonsensical than my nonsense. 2 million is also 100 balls an hour for 20 hours a week for 20 years. 100 an hour is only 1 every 36 seconds Patrick. How slowly do you shoot?

Hell, there may be a half million people in ASIA alone who have shot that many for THIRTY YEARS between age 10 and age 40. (actually 1 nano second shy of 31 years if you want to get all math whizzy about it)

Grab shovel...push down with foot...dig hole deeper.
