I was watching the 5pm sports center and the anchor asked him something to the effect of what are little known facts about yourself.... He said that he loves pool and has been playing since he was 5 years old. I thought it was great to hear that from another professional athlete. Just wanted to share.

That's always awesome to hear that:) I always wondered what Jordan's speed is! They say he's pretty good. I would think with his height he would never really have a long reach no matter where the Que ball is;)

Die hard ravens fan here but hearing aj say that…..I'll root for him

Kudos to AJ...Another sports celeb who plays is Tony Stewart...

Who is aj green? Johnnyt
At this point - possibly the second best wide receiver in the NFL. It is arguable between himself and a few others like Dez Bryant of the Cowboys, Julio Jones of the Falcons, and maybe a couple of other names. The only receiver clearly better at this point is Calvin Johnson of the Lions - and going forward (beyond this season) I'd be tempted to say teams would rather have AJ Green due to youth and contract. One of the cooler aspects of the fact that he plays pool is the fact that he's simply put: an absolutely phenomenal physical specimen. Height, speed, agility, etc. His hand eye coordination and height would make him a devastating pool player if he took it seriously. (always the biggest "if") He's reportedly also a very intelligent player, and sees the field as well as any receiver out there.

OUCH! Straight up PEGGED! You're right in a way, though - there are more "skilled" receivers. And by that token - there are "better" receivers. But really, he's been carrying Andy Dalton. His numbers are phenomenal despite a very mediocre quarterback, and a large part of that is the fact that he knows what he's doing on the field and understands the game well. He's broadly considered one of the biggest arguments for the elimination of the Wonderlic test during the combine as his numbers were completely opposed to the reality of his ability to read a field.

You speak highly of him and happen to live in ohio...coincidence much? Haha jk ...Itsfunny to note that when asked who he would take first as a fantasy reciever, he said Calvin Johnson. You could tell that he was just being humble though.

Ha, you could call it a coincidence or an analysis. ;) I'm a born and bred Lions fan. Detroit pro sports, except for hockey (Go GBJ!) and a big time Buckeye fan in the collegiate realm. I love AJ Green but I love the Lions more!

I don't know. Marino scored really low, and had no problems reading the field :)

But yeah, the Wonderlic test is pretty much useless.

Agreed. Marino was the very epitome of dumbass in the real world, incredible at keeping track of 22 massive colliding human beings.

Years back there were quite a few Spurs players that held tournaments rotating from one players house to the next. At the time I was installing tables for a large company there in SA. We did a number of refelts over the course of a few years...you could tell they were playing a ton.

Got to meet a lot of great players over those years.

Heaviest pool table I ever moved was Vinny Del Negro's table. The base and aprons were solid stone. 5 of us to lift it and used large dolly's to get it outside.

He might be willing to bet something too :D
