Im headed to albany in about seven hours and wondering is there any good poolrooms up there ill be in town for a few months and am looking for a place to play

I'll second the Golden Cue in Albany on Central Ave, Rocky the owner is a real good guy and has a nice room.

golden cue is definatly the place to go ! also in amsterdam, ny about 30 minutes away main st billiards is a new room with 9 ft. diamonds from a turning stone event.

I got a friend who works at Diamond Eight in Latham. 7 fters and 9 ft Gandy's. Ask for Stacy and tell her Tim says hi!

theres also trickshot billiards in clifton park, north of albany on 87. $6 all you can play on mondays...

Mike Zuglan used to have a room in Rotterdam just outside of Albany, IIRC. I've only been there once, not long after he opened. I think he sold the place though, so it may have a different name or be gone by now.

Hope you like snow B

N.Y. is a little faster moving than Pensacola. Used to be no talking allowed in the poolrooms.
Enjoy,
Nick :)

Golden Cue is the place to go. A family-run pool room and good pool peeps.

They host the Joss Northeast 9-Ball Tour. One tournament I attended, they even posted a Welcome Sign out front for the players.

I definately would have to say the Golden Cue. For those of you that have not been there in awhile, Rocco Spinelli has remodeled the interior and put in a full bar and a full kitchen also has several large screen TV'S decorating the walls. Just go in and tell who ever is working that mike peabody recommended them. simply cannot go wrong there in my humble, biased position,,,,,lol............mike
