Alcano's cue at US OPEN ?!?!

I can't answer the question about the cue he used at the U S Open but in the more recent accustats challenge he was using a different cue at the beginning and then borrowed a Viking cue from somebody else and played with it. At about the 2 hour mark he changes cues.

Seen it up close.
I don't buy into it being the 5ball.
Color is different then a 5ball. More pinkish, then orange.
And the butt sleeve is way longer then the diameter of a 5ball for that matter.

Maybe it was made out of some neon bowling ball.

But it being made from a LEGIT 5ball is just a load as poo as far as i am concerned. Even if that comes right from the horses mouth.

Maybe it's wood from an orange tree :wink::grin::grin::grin:.

Wade Almond of Shallotte, NC uses pool balls for ferrules...would probably consider using them for joints, too, not sure. He has an old Brunswick converted cue with a ten ball ferule that hits really nice.

I'd really like to see close-up pix of Ronnie's cue...it sure looks strange on youtube...

I live and play all around Shallotte NC and have never heard of him, got any contact information on him? If he is from Shallotte he more than likely knows who I am
