All,
When Alf started the giveaway thread for his book on Az I applied. I told him that if I won I would read then donate to the wounded warrior center here in San Antonio. Alf graciously said no need to apply that he would send me a book right away for such a cause which he immediately did when they came in. I just finished reading the book; took me a little while since I've been busy at work. I gotta tell you its fantastic. Alf has lived a remarkable life (not sure how he's still living :) This book is filled with great excepts and stories from the yesteryear of pool hustling. It's a great read and one that will keep you riveted to the pages. Great work Alf and if any of you are looking for a book for your library I would strongly endorse this one. Thanks again Alf for the book and being a living legend ! :thumbup:
 
I concur. One of the best non instructional pool books I've read. Very happy to add it to my bookshelf..:thumbup:

My copy arrived while I was on the road and I just got back on Sunday. Last night was the first night that I got to read a little and I am not far into it at all but I can already tell its gonna be good. I will also write a review when I am done although it may take a while because I can only get through a few pages a night before I fall asleep.

I agree 100%. I just finished the book last Sunday but havn't had time to write up a review. I'll get to it this weekend. Great book!!

iam still reading it.Its one great book you start reading you dont want to stop.Alf DVD is just as good.if you dont have the book or DVD get them both.if you have a freind And you need to get them a gift get the book or dvd for them.Again Thank You Alf.
