..why doesnt anyone from the IPT post?
The IPT tournament director has been posting here semi-regularly for a few weeks. You're not paying attention!

Players > Youre just workers for his company. Thats not empowerment. Do this, do that.
Marxian crap!
This is a voluntary partnership for the players. Like any contract, both sides must obey certain conditions. There is no coercion here. But I suspect you'd like to have the government coerce the IPT to empower the players somehow. That's what unionists do and have always tried to do. It is hypocrisy based on ignorance.

It is a hangover from the Marxian doctrine of capitalists as exploiters, based on the ludricrous concept of the labor theory of value. A doctine that led to the death of over 150 million people in the last century when governments used force to try to break down all these free market voluntary arrangements.

You ought to read more.

Some players may have former commitments. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I beleive Alex had already committed to play in the Asian games and so cannot be in Orlando at the same time.

The reason Alex is not playing is because he failed to turn in an application on time.

I heard that was because he would be playing in the Asian games and therefore couldn't be in Orlando at the same time. Are you implying that he wanted to play in Orlando, but simply neglected to get his application in in time?
