I saw that 0-6 score Orcullo vs Teruya earlier. However, when I looked again, the score is now 9-2 in Orcullo's favor. So which one is correct? BTW, almost all the Filipinos (around 7 or 8) are in the upper bracket and they will eventually be knocking out each other in the next rounds. Jeffrey Ignacio is in the lower bracket though.

Yes and now saw that Dennis has won 11-3 so looks like it was typo on live score earlier must have been Dennis 6-0

Yes most Filipinos are in 1st half while the other non Filipinos foreign players are in 2nd half

Johann Chua just won his match 11-3 too. Yes, the upper bracket appears to be much stronger than the bottom one.

Thorsten in deep trouble now currently trailing 3-8 against Lo.

This is the last session for the day. Be sure to tune in to the lower bracket tomorrow starting earlier at 8 pm, Saturday, US EST.
 
This is just to remind everybody that the LIVE STREAMING (unfortunately it is one table only) starts at 8 pm US EST, Saturday, this evening.
 
If ko and bubwit chua win their matches, they'll match up in the next round...that would be a great match to watch!
 
^bubwit almost won his semifinals match against chang jung-lin last year. i remember the very last rack. he was down 6-10 with chang on the hill. he was able to win 4 straight racks tying it hill-hill. bubwit breaks and makes 2 balls after the break. he has a long shot on the 1, but luckily it's frozen to the 7 which goes straight to the pocket. he hits the 1 and makes the 7. unfortunately, he hit the 1 a bit thin making the cue ball travel way farther than he planned. he missed the long shot on the 1. chang runs the rack, then faces Ko Pin-Yi in another hill-hill match in the finals.

Anyone know what rack they are using? Looks like it's permanent on the table I have not seen anyone take it off. They shoot on it and it doesn't seem to move.
 
At 8-8. Archer made a great shot on 10 to now lead 9-8
As expected , Archer and Ralf matches are slowest to finish LOL
All other matches finished or on hill
Lining , Mika. Chang and Oi thru to last 32
Next match on stream Wu v Kenji
Last 32 matches start 3 PM local time about 3 hrs from now
 
Archer loses. Next up Wu. Wonder if the match will be a little quicker, LOL.

Key shot was in rack 19 with score tied 9-9
What looks like 5 ball is next to 10 ball. Looks like impossible combo and instead of playing safe. Archer tries 5-10 combo bank and misses badly. Leaves easy open table to Yap to run out and B&R final rack

I thought he might have been able to play below the 5-10 for a lock-up safety on the 5-ball there.

With all the talk of Ko and SVB and Orcullo and who is the best in the world it makes you wonder how we sometimes forget about this guy. Wu is putting on a clinic of power 10-ball atm, breaking as good as anyone and running out like crazy.

After losing 1st rack he breaks well leaving open tables and wins next 7 racks

Agree, Wu is a prodigy, the guy was born to play pool. What a treat watching him play.
