ALL NEW: Multi-Media Intelligent Pool Table Light! PATENT PENDING :)

What is the patentable piece? It looks cool and functional, but how does it differ from a light with a couple of tvs/monitors mounted above it?

Again, very cool…
You would be surprised how many options we have coming out that were patentable! I SURE WAS :) I can't tell you everything yet :)

The only way you can find out EVERYTHING, is by becoming a prototype owner!! :)

Personally I'd recommend rethinking how confident you are in the strength and longevity of your 'standard' plastic. Environment and time can be a huge problem.
We already have this one hanging since December, We have supports built into the top end of the frame and that is where any of the "weight" distribution concerns would be. We planned for this. My partner builds jet parts and tooling to build jet parts, we got the weight distribution and strength issues handled.

The other part: none of the stuff weighs anything. Aluminum is LIGHT and perfect for what we are doing. I do appreciate your constructive concern. I would go further into detail, but, we are still prototyping. You will see as we develop more! :)

This could be the equivalent to electronic scoring in bowling. Years ago, all the "geezers" hated it. They preferred the overhead projector and film while keeping score by hand. Nowdays, almost no one even knows HOW to keep score in bowling! LOL. This could be like a video game. You enter in the game you are playing and the system could keep score by knowing the rules and following the action on the table. 8 ball, 9 ball etc... it could call fouls, or at least offer instant replays for shots. I think this could add a lot of fun to a pool hall.
I LOVE THIS!!! You made my day with this :) GOD BLESS AND THANK YOU!!

So I decided to follow an idea of mine and it turned into something that has been patent pending since June of last year!!

I took most of last year off from pool tables to work on what we are calling the Multi-Media Intelligent Pool Table Light!

I had a very tough year last year because I chose to sacrifice to make some action!!!

I understand this might not be for everyone, please keep your comments constructive and remember: if you don't like it , doesn't mean you have to tell us by being mean. I dont mind constructive criticism of course.

I think it's great!

Thanks Grimper! I am not allowed to tell details yet: WE ARE OFFICIALLY NEGOTIATING DEALS WITH ONE OF THE BIGGEST ORGANIZATIONS IN POOL!!! So excited.

Are you guys designing a piece of software to deal with the multiple angle setup or will that be something for the end user to implement? Just curious, probably leaving it open to the end user could be easier for existing venues.

For reference, our state tourney is going on right now and they have new led lighting over every table.

It's basically a 4" x 36?" strip of leds with a soft diffuser.

It's so lightweight that the electrical cord tilts the light fixture so it shines in the face of the spectators and causes weird shadows instead of pointing straight down.

It also, being so short, gives both ends of the table the proverbial shadow.

I'm sure those are easy to set up and transport.

Sounds about right... convenience over function.

I played with those same lights in Davenport. Same issue for a 6' guy. The cord tilting them really annoyed me. I attempted to fix it before my match but it just flopped back to unlevel. The lights were plenty bright, maybe could be made to work if a little more thought was put into them.

We tried putting some chalk on one side to weigh it down enough to tilt it back. We didn't have enough chalk.

The old lights were getting pretty worn out, that's for sure.

Some guy from your area beat me in my first 8-ball match. I forget his name.

That loss helped when I lost the next match, too. NOT.

Dang. I wish I could find the brackets online I'd know if I knew the guy. I skipped this one, will try to get to it next year. A combination of low dough and hurt leg/hip. The big tournaments are a lot of fun.

The compusport app was updated and "improved" lately. o_O

I can't get it to work all the time. I was trying to find out last night who won but can't get it to show.

The Register called and wants to know.....kidding!

While I hate lousy video, isn't the camera thing easy to go overboard on...?

If the intent is merely to provide viewers with an overhead. Some low price secuirty IP webcam could certainly be more then enough.
Great point. This is a $37 camera with access from my phone to the onboard SD card. I grabbed this clip of a buddy making a nice kick shot last night.
