And mainly makers who build only merry widow cues, please post pics of the most work you will do to a cue(design {ring work} wise). And maybe shed some light on your ideas as to why this type of build... I know its not because of effort, time, or money... If I am asking something that has been asked please say so... thanks in advance and post many pics please...

Wood

Here are are few of my simple cues.

The first is a PFD Studios Cocobolo into Maple. This is probably one of the nicest pieces of Coco you will see. Pictures don't do it justice, well at least not my pictures. :-)

The second is a Jerry Rauenzahn merry widow made from a figured piece of Zircote which again, is difficult to photograph.

I like these simple cues very much if the materials in and of themselves are interesting and/or the overall design flows.

And let me add that both of these cues are among my favorite playing cues.

11 rings in a 4mm length

Boy oh boy... Thats great... On another observation, you can really tell how inaccurate a ruler is for precision measuring... Do you cut the tiny things with razor blades... That's wild... Thanks and thanks to everybody else who has contributed...

Not a razor blade, but every bit as sharp.
