Does anyone know if it is true that Allison and Jeanette are both not going to attend the Amway Cup this year?

There will be 48 players including Jennifer Barretta competing in this event.

Really? This has always been a twelve player event. Guess the format has changed.

Yes, it is called the Women's World Pool Championship or something like that. This is the first year the Amway is done with this new format.
Allison has won this event 5 times in the past and I am suprised to hear that she has decided not to attend.
If everything goes as planned I will be there. I will try to post some pictures in my picture gallery.

The Amway Cup has now grown into the WPA Women's World Nine Ball Championship. Amway is the title sponsor and continues their long association with the event. It is being hosted in Taiwan by Mr. Tu and the APBU. I will be in attendance as the western press officer and will post photos and articles here on AZ Billiards throughout the event.

Or maybe Allison is afraid of Filipina Rubilen Amit.

That's too bad, I wanted to see Amit face off against the best in the world, which undoubtedly is Fisher. Interesting to see if Filipinas reign supreme in the pool world as well as Filipinos. Is Kim and Corr still playing?

Yes, as far as I know, there will be 48 girls from all over the world competing in this event, including Ga Young and Karen.
