Is the shaft collar the same material as the butt cap?
Yes both natural linen, will darken over time. If you mean the part around the weight bolt? It's framed with alves.

beautiful, i love it
Very nice and quite a light piece of Alves without much striping. Curious if that piece seemed any different working with it. Not a critique. It's quite beautiful and generally a great cue wood. Just looking to expand my knowledge of the wood (even if anecdotal).
