Same position. I tried thinner towards the front ball and thinner towards the 3rd ball and was getting the same break. When I switched to further from the rail I was getting the results I had on the slicker cloth. Balls in 1 or both bottom pockets and the 8 heading to the side pocket opposite to what I was breaking from , and random balls going to the top cushion corner on that side also. Occasionally I would have a ball go in the side where I was breaking from.Do you think this is because the balls aren't racking quite as well on the worn cloth?
I haven't noticed this pattern before. I'll give it a try when I can find some time. Are you hitting the 2nd ball with the same fullness from the new CB position, or slightly thinner?
These are all results from a plastic valley rack and me never checking the racks. Challenge table with friends. Yeah 1 of them slugs racks but he can't win so....you grin and bare it.
When the cloth was rather new I was always making balls, yes multiple balls, and a couple of the guys were trying to see exactly what I was doing. Prick that I am I started head ball smash breaking.
Went back after a week and that 2nd ball break was inconsistent. Today is another week later and is when I discovered the answer. Out of my first 5 breaks the only ball I made was the 8 in the side 1 time. When I moved off the rail I made at least 1 ball every break. Mostly bottom corner opposite side I was breaking from.
