Purchased a 40lb. amboyna burl today, 3 x 18 x 24.5", from a local dealer. I had been looking at the piece for many months but at the asking price made me swallow hard. Today the store manager was in a dealing mood and this wood junkie couldn't pass it up 
. I don't think this is an exhibition grade burl, but it's not firewood either. It appears to be very clean and with deep, rich color. I'm looking forward to seeing the cues that get made from it.
