I, like many more on AZ watched the Amway Cup on the stream from Taiwan. I realize that we were watching a TV production, but it was the best camera work of a pool tournament on TV or stream I have seen yet. I really liked the camerawork showing where the player was aiming and where they were hitting the cue-ball. The instant replay after a missed shot showed why they missed. Other replays were only of banks, combos, caroms, and tuff shots. The replays were on seconds after the shot was played. I’d pay a good buck to watch pro tournaments on my TV like Amway was shown. Oh and they had a shot clock. 45 seconds with one extension a game. Johnnyt

What was the website to watch it on?

It was shown on PPStream which is a Peer-to-Peer server. Essentially, if I understand it correctly, on a P2P setup the more people who login the more people can watch as each computer also becomes a server in the network. You are giving and receiving at the same time.

I wonder how it be if someone streamed using P2P instead of Ustream/Justin TV?

I agree with johnnyt the Amway Cup tv coverage was great, the best I have seen as well. Like you said the camera work, instant replays, telestrator work all was first class. I have no idea what the announcers were saying but I suspect they knew what they were talking about. 12 hours straight LIVE pool on TV. Doubt that will ever happen in the US.

Great TV production, audience full of men and women of different ages, well known spondsor and hot looking chicks who can really play. Asian talents look really strong.

Yu Ram Cha and Ga Young Kim final ...

And the lady recently won WPBA Regional at Hard Time, Chang Shu Han finished top 4.

It was GREAT!!!!

I watched almost everything Saturday and Sunday and agree it was great. I have seen pool from Taiwan on tv before and this was a typical production.

I only could understand part of the commentary but I know that the guy doing the color for the semifinals and finals is the "godfather" of pool announcing in Taiwan. His name is Simon something and I met him in Shanghai a couple years ago.

He is part of the pool hierarchy there and supposedly a pretty good player but not a pro.

He's one half and the other half is Steven Lin who has been involved in pool in Taiwan for as long as I have been in the business. Steven Lin is the guy behind the YTT/Thomas/Killer laminated tips among other things.

I'm watching Chang Shu Han vs. Yu Ram Cha on chinese version of Youtube right now ...

Chang Shu Han's right shoulder bearing top is DA BOMB ...

I'm no expert on anything including pool scene in Asia but my Taiwanese friend tell me there is no money in pool over there either ...
