None of this years members of the Mosconi cup American team should be allowed to return next year. This is a disgrace.

I don't feel like calling their play disgraceful. They're all great players who are playing their best under the circumstances. However, I am embarrassed for some of them at their behavior in defeat. I mean, I love Earl, but he is a bad sport.

well, the european players travels the world, playing in asia, america, qatar - while most of the americans sticks to their country thinking that is the world. i think that, together with the lack of team unison, is the main problem really.

they all are bad sport except Shane and Archer, swearing and talking sh3t is not acceptable at this level. and does not seem they try their best either

They should a rose my call you should have heard Johnny Archer when he was a kid in Myrtle Beach who weeeeeee

Your right!

Skogstokis - your post was right on point. The USA players think that this country is it, that when they play good amongst themselves that it means that they are ready and they are not!

Earl's been playing good all year..., well who's he been playing???? People that he feels comfortable playing, people that care about his straight shooting, but not people that will run out just like him.

The American players don't match up, don't travel the world and cant preform when it counts on the big stage, sad!!!!

the over the hill gang?

Except for Shane Van Boning, the rest can retire from competing against the Europeans who are much better competitive performers! I said it when they announced that Strickland would be on the Mosconi team that I would cancel my Las Vegas trip there to
attend. I am glad that I did, this is just a repeat of previous disasters.:grin-square:

This is fitting. American pool is a wasteland these days -- absolutely a disgrace.

For those of you who cry "disgrace" you need to not feed into the Ugly American syndrome.
It is only a disgrace if our players don't handle defeat in a professional manner.
And from what has been witnessed already, they are NOT doing that.

For those of you who also demanded "ratings" by having Earl participate have erred. More people have been exposed to bad behaviors.

We need a team who wants to win and can keep their hearts in their chest when things go awry—a la Ralph Souquet—and can watch their mouths and NOT disrespect others.

Be smarter about this next year folks.
