Analyze my stroke please - short videos from multiple angles

the closer {to a point} you are to the target the easier it is to hit precisely

Thanks, Slasher, Neil and CJ.

CJ, I'll try getting closer to the cue ball. I'm 6'3" with long arms, so I'll probably need to bend my bridge elbow (more). I currently put my right foot on the line, and stand a cue's length from the front of my right hip to CB. I see what you're saying about it being easier to turn on the power if I'm not so far away, and sometimes it does feel like I'm reaching for the ball.

I would suggest experimenting with finding your perfect distance {from the cue ball} - this ends up being a personal choice {However} I must stress that it's essential to be the same distance EVERY TIME. I see this factor overlooked by even advanced players. And once you see them doing it you can predict their inconsistency.

If you're a different distance from the cue ball every time it's like shooting free throws with the foul line distance changing (without you "real eyesing it)....what do you think would happen to even the best free throw shooters? That's exactly right, they would have times they may miss the rim or actually "bank" one in. ;)

Distance from the the target is important, and the closer {to a point} you are to the target the easier it is to hit precisely and accurately. This is "common sense," but not so commonly done.

Touch and Feel are directly related to the distance you are from the cue ball. I know I"m repeating this for emphasis because I see a chain of reactions happening in your stroke as a result of having to "reach" slightly for the cue ball.

Consistency is a choice in pool, you can stand a consistent distance, use a consistent shot speed and create angles in a consistent way......or not.......be at choice.
