O.K. one last try, and then off to fleabay. I have a traditional style Andy Gilbert for sale. Cue is in great condition. Specs are below:

- Birdseye maple forearm with 4 points and 4 veneers.

- Out to in black/red/black/red.

- 5/16-14 piloted s.s. joint.

- 2 shafts with new Ivory ferrules and Kamui medium tips.

- Both shafts weigh 4.37 oz. and are about 12.7-12.8mm
at the bottom of the ferrule.

- Butt weighs 15.50 oz. with a .50 oz. weight bolt.

- 8 ivory diamond inlays. 4 in the points and 4 in the butt section.

- Red and white checker board ringwork with siver rings at a b c d and e.

- Cue rolls straight together and apart.

- At worst case, slightest taper roll in middle of the shafts if any.

- Silver rings are raised a bit here and there in the butt section.
Can be seen in the second picture from the left, top row. .005" at most.

This cue looks great, and hits really solid. Especially with the ivory
ferrules. The kamui tips really hold chalk well.

I will take $ 935.00 even for the cue. This includes all paypal charges
and U.S.P.S. priority mail with insurance.
$ 900.00 for the cue using Money order etc. etc.

If it doesnt sell now, I got no choice but Ebay. (as much as I dont want to)

PM me with any questions. Link to my pictures below. Thanks all. Dom

Afternoon bump,
Could you guys please let me know what you feel
the current fair market value of this cue is?
I wont be offended, I would just like to know.

Thanks all, Dom.

i dont see anything wrong with the price and im not sure why it hasnt sold yet. but i dont see the cue worth any less than what u're selling it for.

LOL. Hey Dank, I understand, I want a Paul Mottey right now. Dont know why, but I do. I also know I dont have the cash to buy one outright right now. Need to sell this Gilbert first. Could just keep it. Its paid for, but for some God forsaken reason, I just keep tryin. I'm probably annoying a bunch of people here on AZ right now. To those, I apologize. Just hoping someone out there wants a nice Gilbert at what I believe to be a fair price.

i doubt u're annoying anyone. it's a good deal so if anything u're actually doing whoever ends up buying the cue a favour.

Price

There is nothing wrong with the price ,if I had the money I would consider the cue.I just bought a Troy downey 4 pointer and the other cue an omen that I bought UPS ran over and destroyed the cue so I wait for the insurance money.

gilberts

curious as to how his stainless piloted cues play compared to his big pin flat faced? Very nice cue.

Hey Speedy, I personally haven't played with that many of those big pin flat faced cues. The ones I did play with were those cheaper Phillipine cues with the softer shaft wood. Cant even compare. I love the Piloted S.S. joints. Always have. They are a stiff, solid hit. From what I read/hear the flat faced joints tend to have a softer, more feedback hit. At least thats the way I seem to understand it. On the other hand, I just read somewhere that a cuemaker put tape over the joint of one of his cues. He then let people hit with it and try to guess what type joint was on the cue. The answers he got covered pretty much all of the joints out there. I guess the moral of his story is: When comparing the hit of different cues, the type of joint on a cue, is probably less important in comparison to wood quality, tip, and ferrule. At least thats what I got from the story. LOL. I hope this helps, but I probably confused you more than help you. Hell, I confused myself.

yeah bro how would you compair it to a 3-8/10 gilbert?

Sorry man, couldnt tell ya. Ive never hit with another Gilbert in my life. However I can tell you that this cue hits solid. I've hit with Motteys, Richard Blacks, A Gus Szamboti and a few other traditional type older cues. This hits solid like them. Not as solid, but pretty close. I learned the game from older gentlemen that liked the classic traditional style cues. Maybe thats why I like them so much. Their cues always had the piloted S.S. joint. You love what you know I guess. All the more expensive cues that Ive owned have all had this joint. I hope this helps, but probably not.

Hey Craig, I know. I'm just trying to be totally honest about the cue. Again, its only a couple of thousanths of an inch. Really not even noticable unless you really look closely. You can feel them by rubbing your finger across but its not a big step at all. Also, its only the rings in the buttsection. Not all of them and, not even all the way around. I've been told that its almost normal for steel/metal rings to expand like this a bit over time.

Just a bump for a really nice cue at a fair price. i sold ane ebony gilbert with maple windows on the but for $830.00 in excellent condition few months back and while nice not as fancy as yours. Good luck with the sale and I let my friend know about it. Sean
