Anniversary/Centennial

This may be frowned upon but desired to have a Centennial table but never found one for right price or close enough to purchase. I currently have an 9 ft anniversary and found a tattered Centennial snooker in poor condition but for the metal skirting. Is it possible to modify the metal sides to fit my anniversary and make a custom "restomod" centennial tribute table?

You may get a better response if you post this in the Talk to a Mechanic Forum rather than here. You can access it by going to the Forums List then scroll down until you see the Talk to a Mechanic forum in the Product Talk category. :)

Thinking they ,(ann, cent) are primarily the same table. Should have no problem with doing what you are looking to do.
May have to drill some different mounting holes for the aluminum sides,, not sure but I would think that would be the worst
of the problem.

It might be that simple, but I'm not sure. I have a 9' Anniversary snooker table and I do know the corner pocket castings are different from an Anniversary pool table. However that difference may be only in the shape/size of the pocket opening and not in any aspect that interfaces with the Centennial skirting.

Either Mark Gregory or Real King Cobra would probably be the definitive source, but they don't post much on the main forum. Again, your best bet is probably to ask in the Talk to a Mechanic forum. Be advised that RKC has a tendency to act like the north end of a southbound horse if his statements or opinions are questioned. However, his knowledge and willingness to share it usually make up for that IMHO.

The corner pocket castings for the anniversary should be the same for a centennial , at least the outside dimensions of the castings should be .
Ask the mechanic section is what you should do. My 1946 cent I have had for about 20 years , with full restore about 5 years ago. Have recovered
many anniversary tables over the years and have also torn down and moved them. If you purchase the snooker table, I might would like to buy the rails from you and rebuild them.
Cheers
