Another AZ Member Makes it to Thailand

I had the pleasure of meeting AZ member Sascha and his lovely girlfriend as they're here in Thailand (from Germany) visiting my home island of Koh Samui.:)

They came by the house today so Sascha and I could shoot a few games of nine-ball on my table (featuring everybody's favorite color of 860- burgundy or "red menace":p).

Sascha became the third AZer to school me on it (after Cuaba and Dave Thomson), especially once we switched to straight pool (I really have no clue how to properly play that game).

I look forward to meeting up next month with Cuaba and Ken (kchighendcues) either on Samui or Bangkok- anybody else in the neighborhood is always welcome.:thumbup:

There may be a ring game happening on Tuesday night at my place- I will let you know (should be three other guys showing up- only one is better than me, but you are better than him- you'll probably clean up:wink:).

Sorry you are leaving before I arrive in less than 2 weeks. Hope to meet you in Thailand or Germany sometime.

My birthday party is on for April 23 in Bangkok. So far Gobrian77, KChighendcues, and Monto P2 from AZ will be there. All other AZ'ers are welcome. Its gonna be fun!
 
too bad i cant make it the party, but can u make it to bangkok on 7-9 th ? we could hit some at sports academy...

Koh Samui was an option. Where in Koh samui are you from?

I'm not from Samui- I've been living here for nearly eight years, though- I'm actually a Brooklyn boy.:wink:

I arrive on the 8th at about midnight. I could probably be at Sports Academy before they close at 2.

If you are still available on the 9th we can play. The evening is better as I have business during the day. But I'll adapt to your schedule if necessary.

Name a time on the 9th and I'll be there. I'm looking forward to it. I can show you some other good rooms if you have time.

I'm in Thailand at least 3 months out of the year. I'd be happy to give you a tour of the Bangkok pool scene.

I like your avatar. I also collect Brunswick tokens with images of pool tables.
 
chaweng beach :) perfect, thats where all the nightlife is.

Well I'll pm you as soon as i know when i'll be going. I wanted to try out the poolscene, but as it was my weddingtrip i promised my wife i wouldnt play or talk pool for the whole vacation. (MAN , was that hard). Next time, i'll defently play some pool. ill drop the wife off in the shops :D

YEs, I collect many things :) and BBC tokens are one of them.
I'm trying to collect one of each table design there is. Im close to finishing the JM brunswick Era, and halfway on the Brunswick company era. Havent started the BBC era yet. I have some paper tokens from brunswick too.

and i'm always looking for designs i dont have. The origin arent my main consern. :p i dont have 1k to spend on a token.

I am leaving on the 9th at 12 noon so there would only be the 8th but u arrive to late to play then so maybe nbext time then or in germany. also i am in vegas from may 7 - 17th if u are there too maybe ???

I'll still be in Thailand when you are in Vegas. I won't get to Vegas until the 25th.
 
Sascha is coming over tonight to play some 9-ball- I will let him know.

Have a good trip over- see you in a couple of weeks (and let me know if you and/or Ken are still planning to possibly come to Samui).:cool:

You have great time at Tawan Daeng with the farangs and have a great B.

Unfortunately, I think I'm going to rejoining the workforce very soon :( Doing my small part to keep America's economy stimulated at cost of my own stimulation :grin:

I am planning to be in Vegas in May for Appleton/Hatch match and a part of BCA. I don't think you'll return in time.
